Come Play With Some Furry Friends
Finals week is here, and with finals comes a lot of stress. What better way to let some of that stress go, then to pet and play with some furry friends from Dog Therapy International. Come to Red Square this Thursday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. to release some unneeded stress with adorable therapy dogs.
There will be five therapy dogs rotating abound the square. The dogs will be accompanied by their handlers.
Cheri Campbell, licensed Mental Health Counselor said, “Studies show that interactions with therapy animals can decrease stress in humans.”
This event is the only one that will be happening this semester. So make sure you make it out to hangout with these fun, playful dogs.
This event is being put on by the PLU counseling center and is welcoming all PLU students, staff and faculty to attend. There will be a few tents up to protect us from the rain, if the weather does not clear up.
The counseling center started this event last fall and plans to continue this event every fall and spring dead weeks. You can find more information about this event from the posters hanging up around the school and contacting Cheri Campbell.
