If you’ve been waiting for the encore of one of The Cave’s hit concerts from last year, your wait will be over soon.
About a year ago, an underground group from Seattle called Lemolo took the stage at The Cave and rocked the crowd with their moving sound. Over the years, PLU’s Cave has built up a reputation for featuring some of the best new local artists. Lemolo is no exception.
It was announced this past Saturday that Lemolo would be returning to The Cave at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 19. Just since that announcement was made, numerous students have raved with excitement to hear Lemolo play again. One of those students is Sophomore Theo Hoffrening, who attended the concert last year. “It was a fantastic mix of up-tempo dance music along with slow jams,” Theo said, “the crowd was really engaged and the band seemed legitimately happy to be there.”
Lemolo released their first album, “The Kaleidoscope” online at Bandcamp.com in 2012. The album featured 11 emotionally charged songs. Those songs, along with a few more, will likely be echoing throughout the University Center when she returns to The Cave Thursday night. There will likely be many Lutes there to support her and enjoy her music.
