Disney Club and ceramic students at Pacific Lutheran University team up
The new club on Pacific Lutheran University’s campus is teaming up with ceramics students for a sale. This is the first big event for the club and will be held outside Old Main Market in the Anderson University Center Dec. 2-4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The ceramic students will be selling their own mugs, bowls and vases designed by them. Proceeds will help fund a community event at the end of the school year and help the ceramics department purchase new materials.
“I’m excited to get the students’ work out to the public. The club will just be the middle man,” said Liz Perkins, Disney Club president.
The ceramic students are excited about getting their name and work out into the public eye. This event will help them gain marketing experience. They will be able to connect with their customers and build a relationship with them. This will be a great networking tool for the ceramic students and a fun fundraising event for the Disney Club.
“It is exciting to be partnering with the ceramics students. Their craftsmanship is amazing, and we hope people will see the quality of their work,” said Lindsey Campbell, Disney Club vice president.
Although this event is on the PLU campus, it is for the entire Parkland community. The Disney Club is trying to encourage more of the outside community involved with the PLU campus. This sale will hopefully bring in more of Parkland.
