Mugs will be sold for only $1 during Go Green in Red Square, the annual joint event between Residence Hall Association (RHA) and Associated Students of Pacific Lutheran University (ASPLU).
From Dec. 2 to Dec. 5, the PLU community will be able to purchase the mugs at tables outside of Old Main Market in the Anderson University Center between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. depending on student availability.
The weeklong event will culminate Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, from 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Red Square where those who bought mugs earlier in the week will have the chance to use their mugs and receive free coffee, tea and cookies.
RHA hopes to encourage the PLU community to be more sustainable by purchasing a reusable mug, instead of buying their warm beverages in a disposable cup. Sustainability Director of RHA Aiko Nakagawa said, “Mugs make great gifts and bring a great message of sustainability to family members.”
