A pride is more than a feeling derived from one’s own achievements or of achievements of others; a pride is a social unit. Bellarmine Prep Cheer encourages a pride of young women to strive for excellence in athletic competition.
Bellarmine Prep Cheer squad will be hosting their third annual Pride-A-Palooza. This event offers cheer squads a chance to earn qualification to the state cheerleading competition. Pride-A-Palooza provides local cheer squads an opportunity to compete and perfect their routines before the state competition in the coming months.
This coming year causes for celebration as the Bellarmine Prep Cheer squad commemorates ten years as an organization on the Bellarmine Prep campus. One of the Bellarmine cheer alum said, “I love coming home for break and seeing how they have progressed. I met some of my best friends on this team.” The Bellarmine cheer squad has fostered great relationships and a real sense of teamwork.
December 7 the competition will begin promptly at 5:00pm in the newly built St. Ignatius Loyola Center inside the Booster gym. Teams will stretch, tumble and warm up stunts below in the names gym and following will be escorted upstairs to compete. During the performance there will be two panels of judges to ensure accurate and efficient scoring.
Concessions and apparel will be for sale along with various venders selling goods as well. The team hopes to continue great relationships with local teams, venders, cheer enthusiast and so many more. Wrapping up the competition there will be a performance from Seattle University Cheer Squad.
