Krise receives pressure from American Association of University Professors

The American Association of University Professors has contacted President Krise, asking him to withdraw the university’s legal objections against PLU’s contingent faculty.

The American Association of University Professors (AAUP) and its labor union, the AAUP Collective Bargaining Congress sent the letter to President Krise earlier today.

The AAUP wrote they were “disappointed to learn” about the administration’s legal action with the National Labor Relations Board. The letter ended with a request for a response from the President’s office.

The university continues to wait for the federal court’s decision on whether or not the contingent faculty has the right to vote on forming a union.
